Went for the second session of a battlebots pre competition workshop at a local university today, which was focused on CAD. This wasn't technically my first time touching CAD but my previous attemptys at it were very unsuccessful and so I don't really consider that experience. This time however the students were so helpful [monkey covering eyes emoji] so I actually knew what I was doing and it was honestly so fun, I love the thrill I get when I'm making something, the fact that I'm actually making a battlebot is so cool to me cause I can actually battle other bots??? With my own bot?? That I made myself?? Damn bro

I obviously need to practice a lot (doesn't help that I have the worst memory ever) but I wasn't completely bamboozled this time so it's a win to me

Then after eating lunch/dinner (world's worst mac and cheese + world's best trilece cake) I went to my school's band concert where I was helping out as a photographer. I'm very much a hobbyist, and the other two photographers were talking about some technical shit and I lowkey had fomo so I became an ad lib demon going "ND filters yas!" "Mhm dynamic range". Oh yea I don't use my fujifilm when I'm photographing for events by the way I use a sony alpha 6000 (not that anyone is reading this but I have to act like it cause I have to pretend I'm not talking to myself). The actual photographing was kinda bad for all of us though cause we weren't allowed too close to the band members, and our cameras' zoom capabilities aren't that powerful so it was a real struggle [fist up emoji]. OH ALSO I had a meeting to attend/ exam to take on zoom at the same time (physics olympiad thing my tutor asked me to join) which supposedly ran from 7:45-10:00, so I thought I'd multitask -yes I know I'm delusional- the exam and the photographing, but turns out I didn't have to worry about that cause after looking at the questions I pulled the speed face and randomly picked the answers for ALL of them. I was NOWHERE NEAR prepared for that test but it's ok I don't think my tutor expected me to be anyways we kinda rushed the syllabus in a very short time span, and we ain't even halfway done.

Also we took a photobooth before the concert started and I kept mine in my pocket, but by the power of my ass it got bent but it's ok cause it has wabi sabi and also one of the other photographers had an extra copy!

Overall 9/10 day!!

Woke up at 7:30 for tuition and I have until feb to learn 3 terms worth of physics, all of which are above my grade level. The thing is I fancy myself a (relatively) fast learner, but a horrible retainer. So the concepts he teaches me are actually understandable IN THE MOMENT, but I forget them after like a few hours. I know the clear solution is to practice more, and I will of course, but I have to complain first. I do love physics though I think it's super cool, but the density of the material gets to me and my pea sized brain.

Got ready to go out to meet my fencing friends for an outing to watch a movie and eat, but uh something happened before that dampened my mood, so I kinda just cancelled on them and put it on my mom... which I know is bad but it makes sense given the context trust me. Anyways they understood and we rescheduled. Went to church. Wanted to go straight away back home to have time to myself, but we instead went to the mall to eat hotpot, and food is the best at raising my spirits so!! It was really good I think I ate enough for 5 people.

Then my sister and I went to watch a movie. This movie is about an unlikely duo, a secret society of shunned animals forced to live in hiding, and a touching display of friendship at the end: Zootopia 2. Am I funny please laugh. Ok but it was actually good though. Not perfect but so much better than I expected from a disney movie. There was a particular scene where it showed the beaver character Nibbles' website where she does podcasts on conspiracies and stuff, and her website was very much like the ones on neocities. It had a visitor count of 2 [crying emoji] and that resonated in me (except I prolly have lesser than 2 visitors. The movie was good though would recommend would watch again. OH AND !!SPOILER ALERT!! JAKE PERALTA (Andy Samberg) VOICED PAWBERT and when the twist that pawbert was the villain came out I HIGHKEY FELT BETRAYED CAUSE I know Jake Peralta would NEVERRRR.

After the movie my sister and I walked around while waiting for my mom to pick us up, and we tried something called yoghurt cubes, and I just got a solitary tiramisu flavoured cube to try and my sister got the other 5. It was uh not good but I mean what can I expect from a tiramisu flavoured yoghurt. I tried a bit the other flavour and they were good though just don't try to make coffee flavoured yoghurt I doubt it'll taste good.

Aaand my sister and I talked about like life and family and stuff which I know sounds like a filler thing to say but we rarely interact on a daily basis, and when we do it's not pretty so it's rare that we had a nice conversation like that, my family operates kinda like roommates with separate lives, save for the rare occasion we go out together like today.

Finally my mom fetched us and spontaneously brought us to eat some bingsu which was really good despite the fact I already ate a ton before and was very very full.

Also I saw my girl Jinx in a popmart store!!

Overall 8/10 day!! Pretty bad start but I'd say zootopia 2 and hotpot highkey saved it.
